High Quality Stretcher Bars
Stretcher-bars.co.uk provides the highest quality stretcher bars, supplying a range of profiles and sizes for either original artists' works or for digital canvas printing (Giclée).

We supply a number of styles and profiles of stretcher bars (also known as stretcher strips) to cater for all artists' stretched canvas needs. Our most popular profile is the 'Museum 45', shown here.
As with all our profiles, this shows the rounded top lip and standoff, so that the canvas doesn't touch more wood than it needs to. A complete stretcher frame comprises four stretcher bars and eight wedges, together with cross braces where necessary.
The bars simply knock together with finger jointed corners so that all you need to do is insert the wedges (supplied with every order) once you have stretched your canvas.

Please note, our stretchers are all pre-machined to the lengths you require. We do not supply uncut lengths of profile!
The Best Stretcher Bars available
Our stretcher bars are not just made from any old piece of wood. They are made from the best spruce, free from knots and completely straight, to create the finest canvas stretcher frames available. The finger joints at each end are precision cut so they fit together beautifully with a few knocks from a rubber mallet. They incorporate slots for cross braces, where necessary (not available for our lighter profile bars).
